2018 Kuhn North America Trailed Rotary Rakes GA 5031 T
The trailed KUHN GA 5031 T trailed rotary rake with a working width of 15’3” is designed for operators looking to increase their productivity in the field. This rake is fitted with rotors featuring KUHN’s patented Masterdrive® GIII double-reduction gearbox that has been tested in the heaviest of forages.
This machine is simple, user friendly and can be operated by a low horsepower tractor. It provides excellent raking quality and an even swath width in the most uneven of fields. Ground following is superior in even the hilliest of conditions because of the tandem axles and the wheels being placed closely to the tines, keeping them engaged in the hay and off the ground. The height is easy to set with a simple crank handle. The GA 5031 T is designed with three things in mind: simplicity, reliability and longevity.
Features may include:
Heavy-Duty Gearbox- The patented KUHN Masterdrive® GIII double reduction gearbox is specifically designed for moving wet crops, as well as drier materials. Its durability and service life is unrivalled anywhere else in the industry.
- With some rakes, switching between field and road transport can be tedious. The GA 4731 T trailed rotary rake is designed to have larger arm holders and a centralized locking system for maximum efficiency when navigating both into and out of the field. The optional hydraulic folding windrow curtain and guard makes the transition from working position to transport quick and easy for the operator.
- The adjustment setting for working height and rotor leveling is extremely easy to do with the crank handle on the machine. With this feature, operators can precisely set the raking height to maximize the crop pickup while minimizing the collection of foreign ground material.
- In a matter of minutes, the GA 4731 T forms an excellent windrow saving operators time and money. This rake creates well-formed, light and fluffy windrows that allow air to pass through the entire windrow leading to an even and consistent dry-down.
- One single-acting hydraulic valve raises the machine to headland position. When raised in this position, there is 24” of clearance between the tines and ground to pass over previously made windrows without disturbing them.
